Ryeland – Draft Cross Gelding

By July 10, 2020July 20th, 2020For Sale

Rye is an eye catching guy with a bright future ahead of him. Big movement and three easy gaits make him a natural in many disciplines. He handles his body with an ease and athleticism that’s hard to find in a horse his size and age. Having the correct foundation, Rye is ready to find a confident amateur looking to finish their own horse.

Schooling Training/First Level dressage, Rye displays loads of talent on the flat. He has been schooled over ground poles, trot and canter, maintaining stride and rhythm. Level headed and calm, Rye has an excellent work ethic, and is a forward mover without being hot. Extremely willing in the ring and cross country.

Rye hacks out alone and with others, willing to go anywhere and try new things. He is currently schooling over ground poles and won’t enter serious course work until he’s older (he’s just three years old).  Flat work is the foundation of a jumper and important for a growing, young horse, and Rye already shows he’s comfortable with this.

About Brittanni Murry

I was born here at Anchor Creek Farms and grew up handling my father and grandfather’s mules and workhorses. These are animals who have jobs and are expected to behave – no nonsense allowed. Dad would give me a few colts to break which started my passion for training, and I’ve taken years of dressage and hunt-seat instruction. Draft-cross sport horses are my special love and I’ve had a lot of success with them but I enjoy the challenge of all breeds. Since I graduated with a BA in Business Management from Millersville University in 2010 I have been training horses full time.
