Macchiato – 4yo Crossbred Gelding

By May 10, 2024May 14th, 2024For Sale

Macchiato "Caramel"

Macchiato is a lovely young gelding who shows a ton of promise. He has brains and a willingness to learn while being low key and hard to spook. Very elastic in his movement, he is agile yet easy to ride and direct with your hands, seat, and legs. He is a quick learner with an excellent work ethic, whether working on the flat, hacking out, or schooling over fences.

He is currently schooling Training Level dressage and learning the fundamentals of staying soft, straight, and balanced. A fun, athletic horse to ride, Caramel would be best suited for a competent amateur and/or someone working closely with a trainer. He has a teddy bear personality around the barn, is a big ham, and loves attention. If you’re looking for one with lots of personality, this is your boy.

He recently (April 2024) started schooling small crossrails, verticals, and cross-country fences. He loves it and is honest and willing. Very trainable for a confident jumper to finish. Caramel also enjoys hitting the trails alone or with others. He shows a lot of aptitude as a jumper, eventer, or dressage mount, and would make a great addition to your barn.

Brittanni Murry

I was born here at Anchor Creek Farms and grew up handling my father and grandfather’s mules and workhorses. These are animals who have jobs and are expected to behave – no nonsense allowed. Dad would give me a few colts to break which started my passion for training, and I’ve taken years of dressage and hunt-seat instruction. Draft-cross sport horses are my special love and I’ve had a lot of success with them but I enjoy the challenge of all breeds. Since I graduated with a BA in Business Management from Millersville University in 2010 I have been training horses full time.
