Anchor Creek Felix

Honest, steady, and reliable, Felix is a suitable mount for any skilled amateur or someone working with a trainer. He is currently schooling First Level which includes shoulder and hips in, and lateral work. He shows the ability to be able to come together and collect nicely, which will help him succeed in the upper level movements. Felix has a very rideable suspension with elasticity. Responsive to the aids but not ticklish, Felix is a nice forward thinker and enjoys his work.

Felix is an athletic, fun ride. He has been introduced to jumps up to 3 feet and is regularly schooling 2’6″. He is very willing and brave to a fence, and honest with no tricks. Schooling cross country, Felix keeps a steady pace and doesn’t try to get quick or strong.  He really enjoys hacking out and jumping cross-country, as well as flat work, and jumping in the ring. He shows a lot of promise as an eventer, jumper, or primarily dressage horse.

Based on his movement, conformation, size, and color, we believe Felix may also have some Spanish blood in his breeding due to his ability to collect so well. This hereditary trait is indicative of the horses at the Spanish Riding School.

Don’t miss this special boy. A very easy keeper, Felix is a pleasure to have around the barn and a delight to work with.

Brittanni Murry

I was born here at Anchor Creek Farms and grew up handling my father and grandfather’s mules and workhorses. These are animals who have jobs and are expected to behave – no nonsense allowed. Dad would give me a few colts to break which started my passion for training, and I’ve taken years of dressage and hunt-seat instruction. Draft-cross sport horses are my special love and I’ve had a lot of success with them but I enjoy the challenge of all breeds. Since I graduated with a BA in Business Management from Millersville University in 2010 I have been training horses full time.
